Internet Security…The Easy Way
No CommentsInternet security is on everyone’s mind these days. As a parent or an employer, you will sometimes want to block specific sites or types of content. Internet Explorer 7 gives you some tools to do this without spending money on costly security software.
- Click the Tools button on the Command Bar.
- Select Internet Options from the resulting menu.
- Click on the Content tab.
- Click the Enable button.
- Do any of the following:
- To block specific types of content, select the content category and drag the slider to specify what users can access.
- To block or allow specific sites, click on the Approved Sites tab. Enter the Web site address in the Allow this website box and click the Always or Never button.
- Enter a password in the Password box.
- Reenter the password in the Confirm password box.
- Click the OK button to close all remaining open dialog boxes.
